In light of the successive developments in the field of information technology and the digital revolution, it has become imperative for all business entities to maintain the security of their information and apply the highest efficiency in information security management systems and to enhance work efficiency and safety means of controls, policies and procedures related to IT. The ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Standard, which provides the specifications and requirements of an information security management system, consists of a set of processes, documents, technology and people who help manage, monitor, review and improve enterprise information security.
The Central Bank of Kuwait has issued a circular to all Kuwaiti banks for obtaining the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certificate for information security management systems. As it is necessary to qualify employees in Kuwaiti banks to understand the requirements of the application of the standard and its audits, Baker Tilly delivers this training program to give participants the chance of Certification as the lead auditor of information security.
The aim of this course is to familiarize participants to the IRCA lead auditor level. The course provides skills, knowledge and understanding of principles and practices of Internal and External Auditing of ISO/IEC 27001:2013. On successful completion of the course, the participants will be capable of performing effective audits of companies’ ISO/IEC 27001:2013, reporting the outcome and determining whether it meets the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 series of standards or not.
